Frank Courtney Photography bio picture

Welcome

Hi, my name is Frank Courtney – the owner of this blog. My aim is to complement my main Wedding & Portrait Photography site and show other styles of photography, as well as discussing things of general photographic interest. I’m a full-time professional photographer but apart from my paid work, I take lots of other photos just for my own interest. I’ll also show some of those photos here.

In the future, I will also start posting some preview wedding pictures of the Bride & Groom - with their permission, of course.

Have a look around, and add some comments to the photos/posts..

I’m posting some photos taken yesterday – and this time I’m concentrating on some of the performers who took part. I’ll have more...

Website Update

I released an updated version of my main website today. Not a lot of changes to the structure, but everything has been refreshed a bit, and hopefully the navigation is easier.
I’ll be adding more galleries and photos later, but just wanted to get it up and running for now.

Dun Laoghaire FOWC – 2009

Just as a change from wedding photography – I was at the DLR FOWC (Festival of World Cultures) last weekend. I didn’t have much free time during the weekend, so just managed a few quick photos. But I did manage to see Jane Birkin in the Pavilion theatre that night. I suppose the phrase ‘living...

Lighting Workshop

Despite just having our (rather wet – as is traditional) bank-holiday weekend, for this photographer, the work just went on. Photographed a wedding in Tullamore on Saturday, and then drove on to Cork for a lighting workshop run by Neil Van Niekerk on Sunday. Apart from being a Wedding Photographer based in New Jersey –...
