Welcome

Hi, my name is Frank Courtney – the owner of this blog. My aim is to complement my main Wedding & Portrait Photography site and show other styles of photography, as well as discussing things of general photographic interest. I’m a full-time professional photographer but apart from my paid work, I take lots of other photos just for my own interest. I’ll also show some of those photos here.

In the future, I will also start posting some preview wedding pictures of the Bride & Groom - with their permission, of course.

Lifebelt by the Liffey

Just a quick image taken during a photo session by the Liffey yesterday.
The light was quite good, but most of the time it was freezing outside.

Iveagh Gardens – Dublin

Markree Castle – Sligo

I took these (and some more) photos as part of the preparation for a wedding there. Wherever possible, I like to visit all the wedding locations in advance, to work out some ideas on angles, lighting and any other issues which might arise. Markree is a very photogenic location, with endless possibilities for photographs.
